A picture's worth a lot

Yesterday it dawned on me that I hadn't posted any sort of a picture of the "Springtime" pattern I've been raving about. I didn't think I could post one from the book itself, so I spent some time looking around on the net for someone who had knitted a tablecloth from this pattern, but didn't find one.

But I wrote to Dover Publications, and they gave me permission to post this photo, with the notice that this is from the First Book of Moderm Lace Knitting by Marianne Kinzel, New York: Dover Publications, 1972.

Neat, huh?

Lovely website; beautiful lace. I have that First Book by Kinzel, as well; those tea cloths would be great shawls and afghans!

I'm not surprised that Dover is being so kind to you in allowing you to adapt the pattern and post pictures--you're helping to drum up business for them! I just recently purchased both the first and second books, on the strength of a few comments made on the Knitter's Review forums, plus your blog, coupled with the burning desire to find out what all the fuss was about. And I'm glad I did!

I agree - like her patterns but haven't yet knitted these.
